OUR STORY & PHILOSOPHY

Hello!

 

My name is Hasan, the founder of MIDST Art and Craft Studio. I am a ceramic artist who has been working with ceramic for 15 years. I started to working with clay by chance. I did my MA on Celadon Glazes and my Ph.D. on Artistic Tableware. I have participated in many different competitions, symposiums and workshops around the world.  Working with ceramic enlightened my wold an directed me to extend my vision. I like to work experimentally and explore the limits of clay and glazes. I generally combine traditional and contemporary aesthetics together.  ​

 

Recently, I have continued to work with new forms of tableware. With a focus on creating unique items, I aspire to produce functional objects that are a pleasure to use in the home, to enrich and inspiring everyday rituals such as having a coffee or serving dinner to your family.

Each piece is born on the pottery wheel or built carefully by hand. I mix and apply glazes in small batches, giving each item a unique and personal touch.
